The Crown Point Fire Rescue Ladies Auxiliary is an organization made up of wives, girlfriends, mothers, daughters, and sisters of members of the Crown Point Fire Rescue. This group was founded on October 29th, 1992 with eight founding members. To date, the auxiliary has 24 active members. This group is a member of good standing with the Indiana Volunteer Firefighter Association Auxiliary or the IVFAA. The ladies auxiliary main purpose is to aid the firefighters during extended emergencies, fundraisers, and the most of all, family support. The auxiliary brings items to the firefighters to help with the rehab and allow for them to continue to fight the fire or continuing to train without having to leave the scene. The auxiliary members endure the same conditions as the firefighters- heat, cold, rain, snow. They are an important part of department and the firefighters could not do their job without them. While members of this group work all year on different family functions, their main event is the annual pancake breakfast.

        The annual breakfast is held every year in second or third week in June at the fire station. With the outstanding support from the volunteer firefighters and the overwhelming community support the auxiliary continues to enjoy success with this event. The 2007 pancake breakfast is the largest one to date, and the members are already working to make next breakfast even better.

        These ladies put in countless hours to aid the firefighters in serving the citizens of Crown Point; however, this group can not do it without the help of citizen and business donations.
